Terms of Service
These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of Compound ("the App", "we", "us"). By creating an account or using the App, you agree to these Terms. If you don't agree, don't use the App.
1. Who Can Use Compound
You must be at least 13 years old to use Compound. By using the App, you confirm that you meet this requirement.
2. Your Account
You're responsible for keeping your account credentials secure. Don't share your password. You're responsible for all activity that happens under your account. Notify us immediately if you suspect unauthorized access.
3. What Compound Does
Compound is a personal productivity app that helps you track goals, habits, and daily tasks. The Pro plan includes AI-powered features powered by Claude (Anthropic). The App is a tool to support your productivity — it does not provide professional advice of any kind.
4. AI Features — Important Disclaimer
The AI features in Compound (including Apex Advisor) are powered by Anthropic's Claude API. AI-generated content is for informational and motivational purposes only. It is not:
- Medical, mental health, or therapeutic advice
- Legal or financial advice
- A substitute for professional guidance
Always use your own judgment. We are not responsible for decisions you make based on AI suggestions.
5. Habit Packs
Habit starter packs are for inspiration only. They are not affiliated with, endorsed by, or sponsored by any individual or organization referenced. Follow any routine at your own discretion and consult a healthcare professional before making significant changes to your health or lifestyle habits.
6. Acceptable Use
You agree not to:
- Use the App for any illegal purpose
- Attempt to reverse-engineer or exploit the App
- Use the AI features to generate harmful, abusive, or illegal content
- Share your account access with others
7. Payments and Subscriptions
Compound Pro is a paid subscription. Billing is handled by Stripe. You can cancel at any time — cancellation takes effect at the end of your current billing period. We do not offer refunds for partial billing periods.
8. Data and Privacy
Your use of Compound is also governed by our Privacy Policy, which explains what data we collect and how we use it.
9. Intellectual Property
Compound and its original content are owned by us. Your data (goals, habits, todos) belongs to you. We don't claim ownership over content you create in the App.
10. Termination
We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms, at our discretion. You can delete your account at any time by contacting us.
11. Disclaimers
Compound is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind. We don't guarantee the App will be available at all times or free from errors.
12. Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, we are not liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the App.
13. Changes to These Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. Continued use of the App after changes means you accept the updated Terms. We'll try to notify you of significant changes.
